On the week of November 8th, we attended the IT Nation conference in Orlando, Florida. We have attended this conference for the past three years. At TAZ Networks we believe it is important to stay updated with the newest trends and technologies so that we can provide the best IT support to our clients. This has driven us to attend at least a couple of conferences a year. In Orlando, our president Tavis Patterson attends a peer group to share business strategies. He has been going for the past fourteen years to this peer group. Today, we thought it would be interesting to give you a look at what one of these conferences is like. For the first two days of the week, Tavis had his peer group meetings. Then the final three days of the week were for the conference.
The conference had keynotes from industry leaders to help improve our own business. These keynotes were on various topics, but they were all focused on how we can provide better service and be a better business for our clients. There were also sessions on how to attract talent and develop leadership within our business so we can keep improving and growing for you. Along with this, sessions were held that focus on our sales and marketing teams. New avenues of marketing and sales are being explored because of the testimonies we heard at this convention. Another field that was focused on with these sessions was client satisfaction. At TAZ Networks it is our goal to make you satisfied with our service, the talks that we have heard will help us to adjust when needed. We also make it a goal to always look ahead, because of this we also attended a session focused on scalability and growth within our business. We want to make sure that our operational maturity is higher than ever.
At these conferences, vendors attend to show off their new technology and business ideas. Tavis looked at many of these vendors to see if any of them can create a higher quality service to our clients. Many vendors come back from year to year, allowing us to build personal relationships with them. We now have personal contacts with these vendors that we can go to see up and coming products or refinements on how to better serve our clients. When support or escalation is needed, we can reach out to these contacts for help. While looking at the vendors, it is also an opportunity to network with other managed IT service companies. When we do this, we can compare and look at the best ways to deal with any issues, concerns, or problems that our clients might have.
Many people believe that going to conferences like this is a waste of time. However, if not for these conferences, TAZ Networks would not be the company it is today. We can research the best ways to serve our clients.
