Outside Sales Representative  

We’re seeking an experienced, highly motivated, honest and professional outside salesperson to sell IT solutions to small and medium size professional businesses.  These would include our core focus of manufacturing, legal and health care industries.

 

This position requires 2 years prior outside sales experience selling to small and mid-sized business office managers and owners.  You must have strong closing and prospecting skills, as managing and reporting a pipeline is a vital part of this position.  You will report directly to senior management.  You must be an excellent networker, be able to generate leads through cold-calling by telephone, and have excellent consultative selling and diligent closing skills.  Your focus must be on providing proper technical solutions and being client oriented in your approach.  Your previous earnings should be in excess of $80k. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years prior outside sales experience while working with small and medium sized businesses
  • Previous experience selling IT solutions
  • Proven track record of cold calling, prospecting and pipeline management
  •  Accountability to a sales quota and sales specific tasks
  • Significant career experience
  • Comfortable with technical literacy and solutions, especially Microsoft products
  • Extremely comfortable and competent in speaking with C-level executives
  • Honesty, integrity, and a desire to help clients
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Excellent communicator and people skills
  • Reliable transportation 

Position Responsibilities 

New Business Development 

·         Generate new clients through cold calling and prospecting

·         Networking in professional services communities such as legal and health care

Sales Activities to Meet Quotas 

·         Conduct needs analyses to gather requirements from prospects

·         Work with technical lead to present onsite technical solutions

·         Create quotes and proposals including financial justification

·         Present, follow-up on, and close quotes and proposals

·         Weekly sales activity reporting and goal setting through a meeting with management

Other Responsibilities 

·         Maintain prospect and sales forecasts in CRM system

·         Work with marketing team to develop sales materials and plans

·         Local travel within Southeast Michigan

Beneficial Attributes 

·         Selling IT managed services

·         Selling medical EMR or PM solutions

·         In depth knowledge of primary IT vendors such as Microsoft, Sonicwall, gloStream, Citrix, Dell

·         Knowledge of IT systems and processes
