Print Locally or Copy files through Remote Web Workplace

Every so often I get asked if "I can print or copy files through my connection with Remote Web Workplace?". Sure can!

Unfortunately it's one of those slightly hidden things that I think the SBS team could have done a better job of showing what is available. Here's the steps:
1. After you login to RWW you naturally go to the Connect to my Computer link.
2. You'll get the screen to show the computers on the network and naturally you choose yours. Here's where it's not so obvious.
3. Under the Computers box is an "Optional Settings" link with a little arrow that shows there is more.
4. Click the optional settings link.
5. Now you can actually connect your local printers and copy files by choosing the appropriate links. For servers you can actually connect to the server desktop as well by clicking the "resume console connection" link. Very nice feature for admins out there.

Now print locally! Enjoy.
